Confidential Memo: Tinkle Down Economics
Dear Hector,
I write to express my concern over the state of the economy and in particular the potential impact on Moose endeavors.
I heard Barack Obama speak yesterday about the crisis in the economy, the need to act before the crisis becomes a catastrophe. This guy is not very positive. Then I listened to the Republicans who say that we should let the free market work and it will all be ok. If we cut taxes to the most wealthy citizens, the money will tinkle down to everyone except black people and other minorities. I think that the Republican plan sounds more optimistic (especially for rich white dudes.) Also, we have not given their new tinkle plan a chance. It’s not like we have tried this before and it hasn’t worked! It is all new. When John McCain one day becomes president, this will all work out.
By copy of this to Moose Business economist, N. Flayshun, I will ask for his opinion. Or her opinion? Anywhoo, if this country runs its economy as well as we run Moose, they will be prosperous like we is. Please send the corporate jet to pick me up and take me somewhere, yo. I need to be reminded of our wealth in a time of reactionary hysteria. The economy has sound. Or is Sound?
Peace out,
Meeve
